The important facts are:

Jaun Ponce de Leon discovered Florida.
He served as a squire and trained in the arts of war.
In 493 he joined Columbus on his second voyage.
He became a military commander and deputy governor in 1506.
He became the European discoverer of Florida which he named Pascua de Florida.
He was severely wounded wich is the reason he died.
