Because of Winn Dixie
the first book this year
I just finished a book called Because of Winn Dixie. It's about a young girl India and her dad moving to Naomi Florida. Her dad is a preacher At the Open Arms Baptist Church of Naomi.India's father asked her to go to the grocery store to get some food like peppers and onions. The Manager of the store started to scream because there was a dog in the Winn Dixie store, he said get that ugly dog out of my store and someone has to take it. So India said yes and brought him home. Her father said get that ugly dog out of my house.
I really enjoyed this book because it showed me how to take care of a stray dog. I would like to have India as my friend because she is very out going, she took care of a stray animal all by herself, she made new a friend named Sweetie Pie Thomas and got a job at the pet shop. Her father, the preacher, works at the Open Arms Baptish Church of Naomi, he preaches for his living and he is getting closer with the dog Winn- Dixie. India's mother left her when she was three years old.
